Gyms may offer another liposuction alternative

Everyone tells you that you have to exercise to lose weight, but you just can’t do it on your own.  You prefer to eat and watch TV than to do exercises with Richard Simmons.  Exercising is tiring and it is something you just can’t do alone.  Well joining a gym just may be what the doctor ordered for you.  If you decide to join a gym make sure you are in good health as some of the sessions may be very grueling.  Decide if you can really commit to the time, effort and money necessary to maintain such a program also before opting for plastic surgery over other options.

There are a few programs and treatments that people tend to consider before others. One of the first programs most people attempt before considering liposuction is a personalized fitness program through a gym (like Nu body’s or Gold’s) or training center. There are tons of different chains out there with the aim of bringing in people of different demographics and interested. Curves, for example, caters to women who want to lose weight. Gold’s, however, is well known as a prominent figure in the world of competitive body building. Here are a few things to consider before deciding to join a personal fitness center or gym.

1) Are you self conscious about your body or about working out around other people?

Most gyms are public zones and a place where many people can and see how you are dressed.  Are you prepared to let everyone see your bulging stomach and overweight appearance?  Gyms sometimes are more for skinny people looking to be tone.  If you are very Read more »

Bad Liposuction alternatives with natural lipo alternatives

The truth is there are more good results from liposuction than bad, but when bad stories surface they are usually very damaging to the cosmetic industry.  People or patients always remember bad.  It has been said that a happy customer tells one other person, but an unhappy customer will tell 9.  So a smart doctor will always strive to have happy patients. Many of the bad liposuction results are totally preventable with the person simply being more careful.

Many but not all of the bad results seen on TV are a result of trying to save money and going with a cheaper doctor or clinic that cuts corners.  Sometimes the patient waits too long to go back and report problems to the doctor.  Some of the main things that cause a patient to be unhappy are the area not being smoothed and a “lumpy” look instead.  These clumpy looking areas may cause the patient to look heavier instead of thinner and thus horrifying the patient.

Skimping on the cost of a surgeon is one of the main reasons behind bad liposuction results. In most places, the best of the best are also the most expensive. When hiring a liposuction surgeon, you want to look for and be willing to pay for the best available. Using an inexperienced or cheaper surgeon means running the risk of bad results.

Some of the more serious bad results seen are: nerve problems, tissue perforations, severe and prolonged edema, constant pain, blotchy skin, sarcomas, third spacing, fluid shifts, thrombo-embolisms (blood clots mainly in the legs), scaring, infections and cardiac problems.  When patients fail to divulge the full list of medications, drugs and supplements they are taking to their surgeon, the surgeon cannot take action to prevent bad results.

Some of the other bad results from liposuction procedures will include accidental organ perforations.  Some doctors will accidentally damage internal organs and thus causing the patient to have major complications and an emergency situation.  Other things that can go wrong are when the doctor fails to allow for proper drainage after the procedure.  By not allowing proper drainage, the patient can become infected and very ill. Where is all the pus and medications going if there is no drainage?

Normal drainage takes around three days.  If the patient has blood in their urine or blood being drained from their incisions, it is time to see a doctor right away.  You will see hundreds of horror stories on the internet and stories of bad doctors that were used, but most of these stories are surrounded by bad choices being made by patients also.  Choosing a doctor with a long line of patients and referrals will assure you of having less complications and better treatment before and after the procedure.  Although there are ways to prevent bad results, the best alternative just may be to avoid liposuction altogether.

No Lipsouction unless you know 5 Facts About Liposuction

With any surgery there are risks and side effects.  The risks involved with liposuction procedures can be dangerous and deadly though.  Studies have shown that the major complications came when the patient needed to remove large areas of fat, used general anesthesia and had multiple procedures done along with liposuction.  The ultimate clue is to use a local anesthesia, have a small amount of fat removed at one time and not to combine procedures together.  The time under anesthesia is the main factor in deaths and complications.

Here are some facts to be concerned with; approximately 19 patients out of 100,000 operations will die.  That is more than the statistics concerning car accidents. 16.1 people per 100,000 die in car accidents.  This is an alarming figure.  It also appears that people having liposuction in the hospital were at greater risk than people having liposuction in clinics.  Between 1995 to the year 2000 300,000 liposuction procedures were done in clinics and there were zero deaths reported.

1. Liposuction does not work immediately

You will be able to see a more contoured body immediately after the procedure and may lose as much as 8 to 10 pounds of fat.  But the swelling and bruising will take longer to subside.  It can take up to three months to allow all the inflammation to go and as much as six months before the skin is tightened and be seen as perfected over the area the fat was removed  With this in mind, isn’t it time to consider liposuction alternatives?

2. Some patient end up with some form of unwanted scarring

Scarring from liposuction may be permanent.  Although with the new procedures, claims are made that there is little or not scars, scarring is one of the complications noted by patients. Scars are inevitable when it comes to any surgical procedure, liposuction included. Surgeons will usually try to place incisions discretely, but sometimes this may be hindered in a particular treatment zone or not possible at all. An experienced surgeon will have the expertise to make the potential of unwanted scarring minimal.

3. Tissue, nerve and organ damage is possible

Why pay costly fees for liposuction? Avoid liposuction by exploring alternatives to liposuction.

Explore liposuction alternatives.

Liposuction has many hidden costs and fees, and many people only consider the cost of the procedure itself when they begin to try and work it into their budget. Generally liposuction will cost between $2000 to $7500 depending on how many regions or areas are worked on.  This cost does not include any unexpected complications that may arise after the procedure is finished.  These things may include: infections, blood clots, cardiac arrest and perforated organs.

Never allow money to be your main consideration when choosing a physician and clinic.  A lower priced doctor may just cost you more when unforeseen complications arise.  If you do not have enough money, save more!!  There are however many extra costs that the patient should consider before contemplating this sometimes dangerous procedure, such as:  There is also a number of reasons for you to consider lipo alternatives.

* Where you live. Get rid of abdominal fat without liposuction

The fear of being naked will cause most men and women alike to want to get rid of belly fat. Belly fat, love handles, pot belly, or even that good ole spare tire symbol will lead many to search for ways to get rid of that awful and I mean awful apple shape body. If you look at all the male models on TV with their ribbed flat stomachs and a physique to die for, you begin to realize that the abdominal fat must go.

Good ole Dr Oz of the Oprah Show, has been talking for years on how being pear shape, like Oprah, is much healthier. Having a large stomach is the same as having cancer. A waist should be no more than 32.5 inches for women and 35 inches for women. As the stomach grows so does the omentum (front layer of fat over the stomach area). This abdominal fat can cause many illnesses, such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer.
