Abdominal
Every day we hear about the dangers of abdominal fat and that ‘apple’ shape from specialists all over the world.  It’s said that the shape of our abdominal muscles can dictate our life expectancy, determine whether or not we’ll have a heart attack or any other number of ailments that can crop up as a result of poorly maintained abdominal muscles.
All of us have an obligation to keep our bodies fit and healthy and to eat foods that are nutritious in addition to maintaining a regular exercise program.  Exercise that targets only our abdominal muscles will not allow you to target fat specifically in that area.
The best way to target fat from your stomach is to take a healthy approach to not only a diet program but also, an exercise regimen.
Don’t lose sight of the fact that regular exercise and a healthy diet can contribute to your overall health and that both of these can enhance your waistline and keep your abdominal's in good condition.
There are many things that can cause your abdominal's to be out of shape – from a poor diet and exercise plan that causes you to gain weight and be obese to surgery and even pregnancy.  Your abdominal muscles are like every other muscle in your body – the more they are exercised the stronger they will be – not just today, but for life. Keep in mind that all the exercise you do, will not allow you to target actual fat from your abs.
If you have had any type of surgery or other trauma, and you’re searching for ways to restore your abdominal's to their pre-surgery or pregnancy state, you should not undertake any type of strenuous abdominal exercises without checking with your surgeon first.
Beginning an exercise routine after surgery or pregnancy will require you to take precautions as well as being careful not to injure delicate tissues and muscles that may have been bruised or cut.   A sensible exercise plan to help restore your abdominal's should only be undertaken after you’re absolutely sure that your body has fully recovered from the surgery and your surgeon has cleared you for exercise.

Even once your surgeon has assured you it is safe to begin abdominal exercise again after surgery it’s important that you not overdo the exercise.  Stop exercising if you experience any pain and if the pain persists you should contact your doctor immediately.
Maintaining a safe and sensible abdominal exercise routine is wise every day, but if you want to spot target fat on your abs, exercise and dieting alone don't always do the trick.
